No subscription fees are needed to start selling and earning online with it. Today you’ll be learning about Woocommerce Aliexpress dropshipping, which is an extremely effective business model especially for new entrepreneurs. Lets get into it!

Woocommerce Dropshipping Guide

Do You Have A Website?

The Woocommerce plugin is for the WordPress content management system so this means you’ll require both hosting and a domain name. Luckily both of these can be acquired for a very cheap investment. We suggest that you check out either Hostgator or Bluehost for affordable hosting options. You can get your domain with them as well or get it on a separate registrar like Godaddy. If you decide to go this route, you will need to point your hosting servers to your domain in its settings. Every registrar is a bit different in terms of its interface and navigation so follow the free documentation from them and your host to complete this step.

Most hosting solutions use a similar control panel that will allow you to install a WordPress directory for your domains. For example with Hostgator, it’s one of the first things you see when you log in.

If you haven’t yet, assure you have WordPress installed and log into your admin dashboard. After installation it will give you a link and password to login with. You can always change it by visiting the “Users” tab and selecting “My Profile”.

On the WordPress dashboard you will have a variety of tabs on the sidebar to help you create posts, pages, adjust settings, install plugins and more. Since Woocommerce is a plugin, lets select “Plugins” and “Add New”.

In the search bar, enter “Woocommerce” and it should be the first result with over 1 million downloads. There are tons of other useful plugins that integrate with the e-commerce plugin but we’ll touch on that later. Choose “Install Now” and “Activate” afterwards. This will then forward you to the setup wizard.

This is going to help you optimize the plugin so it’s ready to use instantly. The first step is creating the necessary pages for your online store like the cart, checkout, and catalog. Select “Continue” here.

Next Woocommerce will ask you what location and currency you would like to set your store to. After you’ve chosen the correct options, hit “Continue”.

If you’re based in Canada or United States, when you are on the shipping tab it will display a USPS or Canada Post calculations option. Enable this if it suits the shipping methods you’ll be utilizing. For this guide since we will be using Aliexpress we do not need it.

Next up you choose how you would like to get paid. PayPal and Stripe should definitely be used since they are trusted, secure, and efficient. If you don’t have an account for either of these payment processors, visit and to create a free account. They are quick to set up and you’ll be taking payments ASAP. Check, cash on delivery, and bank transfers aren’t necessary if you have PayPal and Stripe.

Last but not least it will prompt you to install a theme with Storefront being the staple for Woocommerce. We suggest that you install and active this theme until you upgrade to a paid one. After you do this you’re all done for the setup wizard!

Sourcing Products From Aliexpress

With Woocommerce ready to go, we need to start adding products. Aliexpress is a business to consumer marketplace that is incredible for dropshipping since we can order one product at a time. You should know what market you’d like to enter and what products you want to sell at this point. If not you need to do some brainstorming and perform market research. Visit and you’ll be greeted by a traditional e-commerce marketplace.

Using the categories or search bar, narrow down some relevant products that you would want to sell. You can filter by price, order amount, seller rating and more. We recommend that you stick to vendors that have good reviews and lots of sales to maximize the chances of everything going smoothly. The product pages will have all of the information and images you need to use on your WordPress site to make a great product listing.

Aliexpress Products

Once you have found a product you want to sell like above, go back to your WordPress dashboard. Select “Products” and “Add New”. Enter a title that describes it well and sounds enticing to users that are going to browse your store. The description is where you can input all of the features and data you have from the Aliexpress listing. You should include:

  • Materials.
  • Features.
  • Benefits.
  • Size/Dimensions.

On the right sidebar, assure you enter some relevant tags so anyone searching them can find the product easier. Also save images from Aliexpress and upload them into the “Product Image” area. The more photos the better since we want customers to have an accurate view of the product. You can create categories just above this to organize different product types.

Next you will need to set a price in the “Product Data” area by scrolling down. To earn a profit you must markup the product above the price you get it for on Aliexpress. For example if you are buying shoes for $20, you could sell them for $35 to make $15 profit. Under “Inventory” assure that you check the box for “Enable stock management at product level” and set the inventory to a number like 99. This is to avoid potential issues where products appear out of stock to customers. Once you are satisfied with your product listing, scroll back up and hit “Publish”. Your product is now on your store and can be bought!

Fulfilling Orders

So you made your first sale and you’re super excited but you think “Now what?”. Well here comes the beauty of dropshipping. Navigate back to the Aliexpress listing for the product that was ordered and add it to your cart. Choose the proper size, colour, and features that your customer wants. Visit the checkout and when prompt to enter a shipping address, you simply enter your customers. The supplier will then ship it to them and will give you a tracking number which you can find in your order status. Forward this tracking number to your customer through email when possible. At this point your job is all done and it’s only a matter of time before the product arrives at the customers doorstep.
